UNDERSTANDING AND CELEBRATING LGBT LIVES – relaunching the Oral History Project

The Rainbow Alliance, supported by Rother Voluntary Action and Heringtons Solicitors, is relaunching its LGBT Oral History Project on Saturday 31 March at

Manor Barn, Manor Gardens, De La Warr Road, Bexhill-on-Sea TN40 2JA from 2 – 5.30 pm.

As well as general information about the Rainbow Alliance and the history project, we are very pleased to welcome Clare Summerskill, acclaimed lesbian comedienne, singer, writer and playwright who will give her talk, with acted extracts, ‘Gateway to Heaven’ based on her book ‘Fifty Years of Lesbian and Gay Oral History’.

There will be a licensed bar and free tea and cake.

99 and 98 buses stop outside, the venue is a short uphill walk from Bexhill station and there is a large adjacent free car park.

The afternoon is open to LGBT people. There are also places for members of organisations who work with people in Rother who would like to gain a greater understanding of the Rainbow Alliance and the LGBT community.
