Hastings
and Rother Gay Helpline - 07941 014 013
The
Hastings and Rother Gay Helpline (Hastings Befrienders) is a long
established service run by volunteers for information and support for
the L.G.B.T Community. (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans).
Following the
public launch of the Hate Crime reporting service in 2009 we now have
trained advocates as part of the service and worked closely with Victim
Support to empower and help people who have been subject to homophobic
incidents.
More than 20
volunteers have worked on the Help Line over the years and in excess of
3000 telephone calls have been received. Numerous people have been
helped and a considerable number of people seen in person.
The Help Line
along with the Lesbian and Gay Social Group, led to the formation of
the Hastings and Rother Rainbow Alliance.
The Help Line’s
duty hours are:- Wednesday’s 7 to 9pm but you can leave a message on
the answerphone service as this is checked regularly.
Please do not
hesitate to contact us, and be assured of total confidentiality on:-
