HRRA Supper Club Forthcoming Events: Christmas Bash - at Ore Community Centre 7pm on Friday 2nd December. Your choice of Caribbean Curry, Chicken Casserole or Vegetarian Casserole for just £5.99. Fancy dress optional and quiz. Please let Julia know before November 25th, with your food choice at supperclub@hrra.org.uk. Bring your own bottle and come get get the party season going. Previous Events: After our relaunch in 2010, we have held lunches and dinners in St Leonards, Hastings and Bexhill. A superb lunch was enjoyed by 30 of us at Webbe's, the Fish Cafe in Rye in September 2010. We had the upstairs restaurant to ourselves and the food was delicious. Most people indicated they would like to go there again. On 15th November 2010, we went to Azur in St Leonards and enjoyed a yummy two course menu for £15. Some people took advantage of the fish and chips special which was under a tenner. For Valentine's day, we organised a cheap and cheerful evening at Ore Community Centre. It was a 'bring your own' do and quite a few enjoyed the nearby Chinese take-away. There was some excellent musical entertainment provided by HRRA members, a testing quiz and some after dinner dancing. In April 2011 we had a delicious two course meal at Trattoria Italiana in Hastings. Most popular was the mini sirloin steak in cream and brandy. The manager, Michael, was most welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. At the end of May, we went to the Peking Garden in Little Common for an All-You- Can-Eat Chinese meal. We were seated at a huge table in the centre of the restaurant and enjoyed a choice of over 50 dishes. The food was delicious, the service pretty good considering the size of the party - we ate in three tranches, and a good time was had by one and all. They were as good as their word, offering extras every time a dish was emptied. |
