Support Phone Line

Hastings and Rother Rainbow Alliance phone line service offers information and support for local Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trans people. Callers who would like to speak to a trained HRRA phone line volunteer can leave a message on our answer phone (07593 444677) and we will return their call.

Volunteers will be providing information about what is in the area for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people. This will include details of LGBT friendly venues and activities, entertainment, specific social and support groups for LGBT. We will give out details of local support agencies and services – social services, housing, health, counselling, welfare rights, Samaritans, and national support agencies where appropriate. We will also provide a listening ear for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans people who want to talk about issues such as coming out, hate crime, social isolation and health care.

HRRA does not have the resources to offer counselling, advice or practical support to individuals but we hope this phone service will offer LGBT people a much needed point of contact.

The directory of information used for the phone line can be found here: 2014-LGBT-Directory
